HIM2 > Another shot of al Faisaliyyah Tower, Riyadh... moments before sunset.
HIM2 > The colorful & elegant Saudi head-dress worn by men ....

....the cotton red & white chequred head cover is called a shmagh and can come in different colors, the white cap worn underneath is to prevent the shmagh from slipping and is called a tagiyyah....the ringed black wreath, called igal, is put on top to secure both onto the head.
HIM2 > An interior shot of Al Faisaliyyah tower ... a crisp, cool and sophisticated contemporary interior in keeping with the design of the tower... the panoramic elevator shaft (center right) is glass on both sides; an unobtrusive design that doesn't interrupt the flow of space.
HIM2 > The sleek razor-sharp profile of the Kingdom Tower, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia ... I particularly like the rich blue of the glass on this photo ... the building is truly multi-faceted changing its facade, chameleon-like, depending on the light.
HIM2 > King Khaled International Airport, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia ... built in the early 80s to a design by the American firm of HOK ... it is said that the spectacular roof design was inspired by the indigenous palm tree.
HIM2 > The Mohammad Farsi mosque located on the corniche, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
HIM2 > An oasis in Yanbu, a Red Sea coastal city in western Saudi Arabia.
HIM2 > The 'Pheonix Dactylifera' in an oasis in Yanbu; Saudi's indigenous palm tree
HIM2 > Pheonix Dactylifera leaf ... long & tapering and very distinct from other palms with oval shaped leaves.
