After spending the new year in Bali I went back to Jakarta for a couple of days ... while I was there was advised to visit Puncak (pronounced punshak); an Indonesian mountain retreat about a hundred kilometers south of Jakarta. I'm really glad I did.
I went up there with a friend (photo #10) mid-week when it was quiet ...apparently the area becomes densely populated with Jakartans over the weekend escaping the city hustle n bustle, heat and humidity. The area is stunningly beautiful and there I got to see the real beauty of Indonesia.
Indonesia is a country I definitely intend to visit again hoping to explore the many different regions with their own unique cultures, traditions and landscape ... next time I'll make sure I'm not there during the rainy season!
